Terms of Service

These Terms are the agreement between you and Certavo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as Certavo (“Certavo”, “we”, “us”). They cover the Certavo website, the learning portal and the membership. Please read them before subscribing.

1. Agreement

By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using Certavo, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to purchase a membership.

2. Your account

You sign in with a Microsoft account. You are responsible for keeping that account secure and for everything done through it. A membership is for one person: you may not share your sign-in, or let anyone else use your membership, and you may not create more than one account to obtain additional free access.

3. Membership, renewal and pricing

Certavo membership is a paid, recurring subscription that unlocks the full exam library for as long as it is active. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and your payment method is charged the then-current price, until you cancel. The price and billing interval are shown at checkout before you pay.

We may change the membership price. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a change takes effect, and it will apply from your next renewal after that date. If you do not want to pay the new price, cancel before it takes effect.

Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record, which handles checkout, billing, taxes and payment security. Paddle's own buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing further is charged.

If you decide Certavo is not for you, email hello@certavo.app within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. Renewal payments are not refundable, except where required by law.

Because membership gives immediate access to digital content, by subscribing you request that access begin straight away and acknowledge that, once it has begun, any statutory right to cancel within a cooling-off period is replaced by the refund window above. This does not affect any other rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.

5. Content and acceptable use

All questions, explanations, case studies, and other material on Certavo are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the content for your own exam preparation while your access lasts.

You may not:

• copy, redistribute, publish, sell or share the content, in whole or in part, in any form;
• scrape, crawl, bulk-download or use automated tools to extract the content, or use it to train a machine-learning model;
• share your access, or circumvent any access or usage limits;
• post, upload or request actual content from any real certification exam, or use the service in a way that breaches an exam provider's candidate agreement or policies.

6. Exam content, accuracy and independence

Certavo is an independent study platform. We are not affiliated with, authorised by, sponsored by, or endorsed by Microsoft. Microsoft, Azure, and exam names and codes are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation, used only to identify the exams our material prepares you for.

Our practice questions are original and are written to the publicly published objectives of each exam. They are intended to prepare you for, not reproduce, the real exam. If you believe any material on Certavo reproduces actual exam content, tell us at hello@certavo.app and we will review and remove it promptly.

We work to keep the content accurate and aligned to current exam objectives, but we cannot promise it is complete, error-free, or always up to date: exam providers change their objectives, and our questions are a study aid, not an official source. Passing an exam depends on your own preparation; we make no guarantee of any exam result.

7. Availability and changes to the service

We may add, change, or remove features and content, and we may need to take the service offline for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. We try to keep interruptions short but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. If we permanently discontinue the service, we will refund the unused portion of any period you have paid for.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close your account, without refund, if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms — in particular the restrictions in section 5. Where practical we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right. You can close your account at any time by cancelling your membership and contacting us.

9. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Subject to that:

• we are not liable for any loss that was not a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms, or for any business loss (including lost income, profits, or opportunities), or for the cost of any exam attempt, exam fee, or certification outcome;
• our total liability to you for all claims arising from the service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for membership in that period.

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to services that are not as described or not performed with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these Terms affects those rights.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law, in our payment provider, or in the service. For material changes we will email you or show a notice on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Certavo after that date means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not, cancel your membership before they take effect.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live elsewhere, you may also rely on mandatory consumer protections in your own country and bring a claim in its courts.
